A few weeks ago we had a church (LDS) relief society activity.  For the activity each woman offered up a service to be auctioned off.  We auctioned off services like babysitting, cleaning a house, organizing a room.  We did not use real money we used "service dollars." For the month of September you would keep track of the service you did and could earn "money" for it.  The ward does it every year and we always have a really good time!  It is also a great way to serve one another.  I offered a family or portrait photo shoot.  And sister Centatiempo was the highest bidder!  Her daughter was visiting with her granddaughter and wanted to get pictures of all the grand kids before she left.  Here are the pictures from her family session!

 Well, you might have guessed by the last name that we are related to this family!  Meet some of my favorite people: Shaun and Joyce and their three beautiful daughters Brooklynn, McKinley, and Reece.  I was so excited when she asked me to take pictures for them!  Here is a preview of our morning family session.

Baby Ember

Her mom likes to call her "drama queen." 

Let's just say it was a long nine months and an even longer birth!  When everyone just wanted her to get here she was saying "I'm not ready yet!"  Finally, she decided to enter the world and greet everyone with her big beautiful eyes and cute little smile.  Here she is at four days old (and just five pounds).

California Weekend Part 1

Last weekend my husband and I took a trip to California.  We did a day trip to San Diego where we stopped by the LDS San Diego temple (my mother-in-law requested a picture of the temple for a frame she bought), saw the sand castle competition, and went to the beach (my favorite)!  Here is part one of last weekend and my first time using my new VSCO lightroom pre-sets!  More to come!

I learned something new!

I know I should have done this a LONG time ago, but I FINALLY learned how to make and put a watermark on my photos!!!  I'm pretty excited about it!  I've posted some oldies but goodies to show examples of what it looks like.  Now I just need to make a blog header, some business cards, and a website!  Let me know what you think!
